Connecting to Yukon-University Wireless Network with Android

These are instructions for setting up your Android device to connect to the Yukon-University wireless network. These instructions and screenshots may differ from previous, future and manufacturer-specific versions (HTC Sense, Samsung Touchwiz, etc.) of Android.

These instructions are provided as-is; IT Services is not able to support troubleshooting of personal devices.

On your Android phone or tablet:

  1. Open Settings

  2. Open the Connections settings (this may be named Wireless and Networks or something similar).

  3. Select Yukon-University from the list of wireless networks.

  4. Enter your usual YukonU credentials in the Identity and Password fields. On the CA certificate option select "system certificate" and then enter the domain "yukonu.ca"

  5. Tap the Connect button and your device will now be configured to automatically connect to the Yukon-University wireless network while at YukonU.

Important: For older Android devices, you may need to set the Phase 2 Authentication to MSCHAPV2
